The Valley Dental Health Team

Alia, Office Manager

Hi! My name is Alia. I am the Office Manager at Valley Dental Health. I have been working in dental offices for over 10 years and was offered my first dental job by my personal dentist at the time. I was fortunate to have worked with Dr. Izadi for 3 years in a previous office, and now to be able to continue to work with her and her husband, Dr. Rafat, in their own practice for many years to come. Always with a smile on my face, I love to help schedule patients for their dental needs and assist with insurance and billing questions. Because I love to help people so much, I even decided to take the extra step and get certified to take dental radiographs. So anytime someone needs help taking x-rays, I’m there! When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with my husband and son.

What is your favorite past-time? Spending time with my family watching movies, cooking, eating out.
What is your favorite dessert? Anything with chocolate; cookie dough and cookies & cream ice cream.
What is your favorite type of music? R&B and Reggae.
Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks? Dunkin Donuts.
Where would you love to visit? Any warm island (Jamaica, Hawaii, …)
Ravens or Orioles? Let’s go Ravens!!

Sara, Registered Dental Hygienist

Hi! My name is Sara Williams. As Valley Dental Health’s registered dental hygienist and a native to Baltimore, I love meeting and helping people in the area with their oral health. Growing up, I became familiar with dentistry as both of my parents are dentists. The dental office was my second home, and as soon as I was old enough I was working there. While attending McDonogh School, I became a certified dental assistant to begin pursuing my passion for dentistry. After four years at Salisbury University and attaining my first bachelor’s degree in Community Health, I continued on to University of Maryland’s Dental Hygiene program. My patient’s care and comfort are so important to me I also became certified in local anesthesia.

When not in the dental office, I love doing outdoor activities such as horseback riding, fishing, camping, and playing with my rescue dog, Dexter. I also developed a love of traveling after studying abroad in Spain. I was able to practice both my love for dentistry and Spanish while on a dental mission in Honduras.
