READ DR. WILLIAMS’ REVIEWS
I am pleased to be the newest member to join Valley Dental Health in the Fall of 2015. My name is Lisa Williams, I have 37 years of experience treating patients in the field of dentistry, and I am the mother of Sara Williams RDH, BS.
As a native of York, PA, I first came to Maryland to attend college – initially the College Park campus of University of MD, then finishing my bachelors degree at the UMAB campus in Baltimore. This is where I met my husband George C. Williams, DDS .
I began my career as dental hygienist after graduating from the University of MD Dental Hygiene program in 1978. Upon graduating I worked briefly in private practice but soon joined a clinical research team at the Baltimore Cancer Research Center (now part of the University of MD), where I participated in teaching and mentoring both dental and dental hygiene students, as well as treating patients in a hospital setting and aiding in the implementation and publishing of clinical research. This soon whetted my appetite to further my dental education and I entered dental school in 1984. I continued to work as a hygienist in the hospital and in a private practice periodontal office during dental school. I graduated, from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, magna cum laude, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (National Dental Honor Society) in 1988 and completed a one-year General Dentistry Residency Program at the University of Maryland Hospital. I began teaching at the Dental School in the Special Patients Clinic (for medically and physically handicapped patients) where I remained for 3 years until the birth of my second child. I then joined the practice of Harbor Health Care, downtown Baltimore, where I remained practicing General Dentistry for the next 23 years, until recently following the sale of that practice.
I am excited to be joining my daughter Sara Williams RDH, BS and Dr.’s Izadi and Rafat at Valley Dental Health…truly OUR family treating YOUR family!
