Meet Hunt Valley, MD DentistAkudo Ogubunka. DDS

The field of dentistry has made such a tremendous impact on my life. For me, it all started when i was able to improve the esthetic appearance of my teeth with anterior crowns when I was 20 years old. This completely boosted my self-esteem and confidence.

From that point, I made it my ambition to become a general dentist who encourages others to make their oral health a priority and achieve a beautiful smile.

Throughout my journey to become a dentist, I have learned the importance of compassion and empathy by working and volunteering as a home health aid for senior citizens and pediatric individuals with special needs while completing my undergraduate degree.

Years later, I attended the University of Maryland Dental School and completed their AEGD residency program.

As a general dentist, my patients’ concerns and desires are my #1 priority. Effective treatment planning and honest feedback in the best interest of my patient is what I consider two of the greatest keys to success in the dental field. Having compassionate care and being an active listener is how I am able to achieve great relationships with my patients as  well.

During leisure, I love to cater to myself.  Self care is so important. I enjoy the occasional spa treatments, traveling, swimming, working out at the gym and indulging in steak with seafood at some of my favorite restaurants.
